From the moment I arrived at the Eugene Faith Center, I could feel that Jared and Rachel’s wedding day was going to be something special. The feeling in the bridal suite was calm and joyful. Outside in the reception hall, the final touches were being placed, and everywhere I turned there were thoughtful details. Many of Jared and Rachel’s closest friends made sure to pay close attention while helping set up for their special day.
Later, as I entered the ceremony, there was a memorial table. Candles were lit and special guests that could no longer attend were pictured. One of the more recent passings was Jared’s father. Tears were shed and some happy memories were being shared by guests. And Jared was not alone. Both his mom and step-mom stood proudly by his side, offering their love and support for him. Seeing them together, untied in celebrating Jared, was a reminder of how supportive family can be.
Rachel had such an easy, natural grace about her all day long. She seemed to take in every moment, enjoying it to it’s fullest. When she walked down the aisle, Jared’s face said it all. He looked at her like she was the only person in the room. Through the evening, they stuck by each others side, enjoying every moment together.
What stood out most to me was how intentional they were with their guests. They made it a point to visit with their guests nearly their entire reception. It wasn’t rushed or obligatory, but it was heartfelt. Jared and Rachel’s wedding wasn’t just beautiful; it was meaningful and personal.
Here are a few favorites from Jared and Rachel’s Wedding. I hope they put a smile on our face like they have mine.
Congratulation Jared and Rachel!
