Aaron and Heather’s Wedding Reception

I recently had the chance to photograph a lovely wedding reception for Aaron and Heather that started at the McMenamins Grand Lodge. We began the evening with family portraits on the lodge’s beautiful grounds. It was a fun and easygoing time—they even had an event happening at the same time that provided nice background music!

After portraits, we all made our way to Elk Cove Vineyard for the reception. The vineyard was the perfect setting for this intimate celebration. As guests arrived, they were greeted with relaxing music by Kansas City Rhythm Kings that created a laid-back atmosphere. Another focal point in the room was a stunning wedding cake created by Banquette and a colorful cocktail hour spread provided by Biscuit & Pickles Catering.

The dining room was beautifully set up for a cozy dinner with close friends and family. There were lots of laughs shared over the meal, and the space felt joyful and welcoming. It was clear that Aaron and Heather wanted something intimate and personal with those closest to them, and that’s exactly what the evening was.

What stood out most during Aaron and Heather’s wedding reception was how natural everything felt. Nothing was rushed, and everyone seemed to really enjoy the chance to slow down and be together. They even went as far as adding little stuffed animals at the place setting for their guests with children. What a sweet and caring touch.

It was a pleasure to photograph such a joyful evening, and I’m so glad I got to be part of it!
